'ello 'ello 'ello!

Long time no speak! Been busy having fun and stuff ;) Kidding. Anyway, not the most spectacularly interesting few days, but I figured I needed an update anyway. I keept forgetting to bring my camera or I just forget to take pictures when I do have it so you will have to make do with what I write I'm afraid. So... I think I'll just cover the weekend. Friday was a sort of end of year party for the international students of Nagasaki University. We were only told about it the day itself of course, but hey, no worries. We weren't quite sure what the dress code was, we heard different versions, so in the end I dressed sort of semi-formal, probably a good thing, as it turned out to be a quite formal do! There was this huge delicious looking buffet with tons of food. Seriously amazing. DUring dinner (it was a standing dinner, you got assigned a table you could stand at. Just too bad the tables were really low, not really meant to 'stand' at. Or maybe for the Japanese it was okay, for us it was definitely too low! Several international students performed this that and the other, all entertaining, nothing special. When all the food was finished it was also time to go. The plan was to watch a movie together at Sahim's place, but I was too tired so I went home and had a goooood sleep. I definitely needed that! Because saturday was party time!

Rob, an English teacher we met before, organised this party with various (amateur) DJ's. So during the day I caught up on my beauty sleep and watched a few episodes of Prison Break (the series, so cool!). After a quick dinner we went over to this American girl's house, played a game, chatted, got called emo (the horror!) and the it really was party time! The party was at this place called BodyIIsoul, how kinky. The place was small, and full of foreigners, all english teachers, but it was so much fun! The music wasn't bad, the DJ was cute, and the drinks were heavenly (malibu is always good. Until they ran out of course, the idiots.

Sunday was short, considering I got home at 4 or something and thus slept until late, watched some more prsion break, did my homework, and then it was time for Sinterklaas! I set up my webcam and so we had webcam Sinterklaas, with the guys in Arnhem at Luuk's house, and Gerrie and myself here in my room. It was a little strange, but a very interesting experience. Not for repetition though, it's more like watching reality tv than actually celebrating something together. The poem I got was AWESOME though, seriously Thijs, you are very very very good. Thank you very very much, I didn't get dissed too often, which was very much appreciated!! :D Thijs got me a really cute stuffed animal cat thing, a character from 'Kiki's Delivery Service', a Japanese animated movie, and two bracelets with charms from a Nightmare before Christmas! Kitty is wearing them right now as necklaces :P All in all almost a success. Gerrie didn't quite have a present, Daan-o's present hasn't arrived yet, but the rest was awesome!

And that was basically my weekend. fun huh!? see ya!
