It's been almost a year since I last posted here, my goodness! I have decided to restart my blog however with good reason: I'm going back to Japan! This time my destination is none other than TOKYO!

Tokyo!? you say? Yes, Tokyo. Here is how it all happened: a while ago a friend of mine, Maarten, who was with me in Nagasaki also, told me he was selected for an internship at the Dutch embassy in Tokyo. These internships are especially for students from Leiden University and last about three months. I happened to also know the person who was there right before Maarten was supposed to go and a few people who had already done the internship and being extremely interested I decided to ask around. I got more and more interested and somewhere around late april I decided to sign up myself! I handed in my cv, grade list and motivation, was made to write up a report on the privatization of the Japanese postal system and today, finally, I got the word: They have presented me as the best candidate for the September-December 2008 internship. Now all I have to do is wait for a reply from their side, which I see as a mere formality! :D So Tokyo, here I come!
