bye bye Tokyo

Helloo,

In the mean time I HAVE been to Nikko, which was beautiful, though we only saw the temples and not the lakes and waterfalls, which I sort of really wanted to see. The journey just ended up being too long. It was a 2 hour train trip there, and it would have been a 1,5 hour bus ride to the lakes, leaving us only 1 hour to look around before having to then take another 1,5 hour busride make to Nikko and another 2 hour trainride back to Tokyo. None of us, including Jona, Ando and Maarten really felt like doing that, so instead we went drinking in a park in Asakusa. Muchos fun! After that we decided to chill so on wednesday when Pato went to the Ghibli museum, Yori and I slept in, did some washing and then just hung out. We met up with my friend Ayumi in Shibuya and after walking to Ebisu and seeing the Hana Yori Dango clocktower we had a nice meal at an izakaya and a whole load of Nihonshuu. YUM!!! We then walked to my old neighbourhood and had an ice cream in a park where I was eaten alive by mosquitos.

Anyway, today we met up with Chris and Ger-Bart for kaiten-zushi and chilled at our hostel. Tomorrow we are leaving Tokyo for the Fuji lakes, exciting!!
