clean new and shiny

Hello again~!

Inspiration has come to me in the form of me actually having gone and done something interesting enough to have something to write about! Camp happened! Camp happened? Well not quite "happened". I organised camp. I organised the first years introduction camp for my study. With 90 (!!) people we went to some remote hole in the ground in Brabant where we stayed 2 nights. The first night we organised a 'dropping', the next day we sent them off on a treasure hunt, made them play 'levend stratego' and then we had a nice campfire. All in all everything went ok I think. There were way more people then expected or estimated or whatever you want to call it, and so there was a bit of shortage of space, tables, chairs etc. This was all thanks to our wonderful hosts who forget to inform us they removed 10 beds from the sleeping area, and that maybe the dinner area is not for 90 people. Because it really wasn't. The best part of camp had to be thursday night though. Despite the hard work put into cooking a delicious meal with enough for everyone, it turned out that there was not enough food for the older year students who had worked oh so hard ;). Dinner had been late anyway due to problems with cooking the pasta and we had been thinking about the big chinese restaurant just down the road. We decided it wouldn't be fair towards the kitchen people to just disappear after they'd worked so hard, but when they told us there wasn't enough food, we were out of there like nothing you've ever seen. And I must say, that was the best Chinese food I've ever had. We were só hungry and the food was just exactly what we needed. Brilliant!

I would just like to clarify my title. Clean refers to me. I had the loveliest shower after camp, so Im all clean again! New is my new laptop! I picked it up in Tilburg on wednesday, when I snuck off to collect it together with my brother, and it's ohhh so shiny! So now I spend my time playing with my véry nice little laptop, getting it ready to take to Japan, because that is what it's for in the end!

Speaking of which, 2 weeks to go, and I'm off! I'm getting the jitters, it's getting real. Nippon here I come!
