sayounara paatii

Last friday night was my sayounara paatii, or goodbye party. I organised it together with Gerrie, a friend of mine who is also going to japan so we had a combined goodbye party. On top of this it's his birthday soon, so it was also his birthday party :) We eacht invited a bunch of our friends (we have a lot of mutual friends - so not that hard) and I have to say in the end there were more people we hadn't invited than people we had, but no worries, the more the merrier! It was seriously a lot of fun. I don't think anythin specific happened to pin-point the " fun " of the party, but I had a great time. Mostly because I got lots of pressies ;) hahah. I would hereby like to thank everybody again for my lovely gifts, I really really appreciate it! I would like to mention one present in particular however, because it really means so much to me.

It's the big " jenn-is-going-to-japan-and-we're-going-to-miss-her " book!! My closest friends have all written something in it, and have stuck some really awesome pics in it aswell, so I will still have them all close by when I'm in Japan! So thank you very much to you who have made it, and thank you everyone who has written something. All of you who haven't written in it (yet) and still wish to do so, come find me, or else send me a note and a picture via e-mail and I will stick it in.

I have now said good-bye to two of my really good friends, whom I won't see again for a year. It's a really strange feeling. I'm so excited about going to Japan, there's only a week left! I'm busy packing my things, I've sorted out my room and separated the things I'm taking from those I won't be taking, and I've also chucked a lot of junk. I'm a gatherer, I'm a collector, and I don't throw things away. But now I have, and I managed to fill our entire containter, with still more to come ;) My mummy was ever so pleased ;) But I'm slowly starting to think about what to take and stuff. I've decided to send myself a box of goodies (read: contact lens fluid, deoderant, shampoo, winter clothes etcetc) and to not take a giant suitcase. Just a big one :) I'm getting really nervouse/excited now, it's an up and down thing.

So... check check, bliep blieb (luuk & thijs spelling) te te moet moet jeweettoch uiteraard smikkelberen etc etc...

x Jenn

ps: if you guys want my address in Japan (to send me goodies? :P), e-mail me :)
