Classes part 2!

Konnichiwa!

Today was my second day of class, and thursdays I have 3 blocks of one and a half hours. That´s LONG. Especially if you´re bored out of your mind. Like I was. The classes are easy peasy lemon squeazy, and on top of that, the classes are huge, so it´s not like it´s a really good learning environment. So I´m pissed off. I came here to learn, and I¨m not learning. There are two people in a higher class, and they told me that it is really hard, but at least then I get the idea I¨m learning something! So I´m going to sit through another week, as this week is orientation of course and stuff, look through the text books I bought today, and then see whether or not I´ll ask if I can at least try the higher level classes. Because even though it´s difficult, that´s the way to learn. This is way too much beginner stuff. I like a challenge, and I¨m not being challenged right now. And I really hate that the groups are so big, the levels of Japanese are way out of balance... I almost wish I´d stayed in holland, that´s how bad it is. Sorry about the grumble, but I was just so happy that classes were starting again, I could finally get to actually learning the stupid language, and now I feel let down. Especially the listening and understanding classes, because I was already reasonably good at that. It´s the speaking itself I have difficulty with. Anyway, we´ll have to see how it goes.

Nothing else special has happened over here, so I´m just going to leave you with a grumble, because that´s what I feel like!

ps: not being able to follow the news is definitely a disadvantage here... We can see the images of a plane that has crashed into a New York building but not hear what the circumstances are... nor have we noticed anything about the tension between Japan and North Korea, all that we read when we get to the computers here. 3 cheers voor internet! * hip hip hurrayyy x3*
