October 3rd

Dear all,

Please start reading at the bottom of this page, as I've posted some of the blogs I've written during the no-internet period. I'll wait, don't worry.

* waits *

Right, so, I'm now at the university using the public computer as we don't have internet at the dorms yet. Today we had our Japanese placement test. The first part was so easy I couldn't believe it and then suddenly it switched to realllly hard. Everyone looked a bit baffled. But it was relatively painless. After lunch we filled in some forms and were informed that tomorrow morning (9am!) we are going to the city hall to register for our " alien registration" and get our student card etc. Basically a day of administration!

For the rest today was relatively uneventful. I bought some more stuff for my room and two of my boxes arrived today with lots of things in it, yayy! No time to unpack yet, will do that tonight. Right now I'm going to try and upload some pictures for you, very meager selection I"m afraid, more will come, soon, I promiss! Once I have internet in the dorms, next week or something, if possible.

Love,

Jenn

Hi Jenn, really cool to read all your Japan stories, wish I was there to see all that cool things. Cool pictures to, can't to see the rest of them (those van-o pictures are totally A.W.E.S.O.M.-O.). But about that placement test, what kind of test is it and what are tested for? Japanese language skills are something like that? And what a shame your dorm rooms like that awefull, they should no better: first impressions are important, and you described a nasty one :-(. But remember, now you have all the freedom to make something nice and personal of it.
Well have fun, this first week in Nagasaki! Going to read the gman stories now.
