Hello again :)
I'm sitting here at the university with the sirens wailing in the background. I have absolutely no idea what's going on, but I guess it's big. I don't know if it's police, ambulance or fire truck sirens, but I'll let you know if I find out! Hope my house isn't on fire ;). Anyway, class is over for today, I had Kanji class and enshuu 1. Kanji was the most boring and weird class ever. We learnt (again) about radicals and positioning, how you can group kanji and everything. We did this years ago. Either way, then the teacher explained all these combinations and then told us we had to learn them all. That's a LOT of kanji we have to learn every week, and they all look alike and stuff, so that's going to be hard! The enshuu class, a 'practice' class was hilareous. We had Nagai-sensei who claims to be strict but acts so weird we all sat there rolling on the floor laughing. Figuratively speaking of course, but it was really fun. I think I scored some points by taking iniatives and doing some talking, which is a first for me. Somehow it isn't as scary in her class, though she is a little scary. This class promises to be a lot of fun! She knows 'baard/beard', a Japanese guy who runs an izakaya in Nagasaki where Leiden students hang out each year (and probably the cause of their demise) and was shocked to find out some of us had already found the place. She couldn't believe we had been there so soon already. I haven't actually been there yet, but I met the guy last night. He and his 3 year old daughter, Nonoka, visit the international house several times a week now, to see if anyone feels like going out. I can't wait to actually go along sometime, but up til now each time was bad timing, such as a school night (uni night?) or we had other plans already. But maybe this weekend, who knows!
Anyway, what I wanted to tell you is that thanks to my wonderful friend Thijs I have managed to upload some movies! Apparently they are bad quality (I thought they were alright) but at least it gives an impression of some of the things I've told you about. I might add descriptions later, but for now, here is the link:
Jennemeiske's Japan movies
More to come. Enjoy!

Just wanted to say thank you for texting me yesterday, that was so sweet! Speak to you soon xx
Ha 3de post! Burn.
Videos zijn leuk, die japo's zijn echt niet gemaakt voor de pit, zijn net zo slap als die indie-kids bij The Strokes...
Jenn @ The whale: 'aaaaaah' :-D Die hello kittie pannekoeken zijn cool!
xxx
