新宿軟派

Weekend! Yay!

I had my first internship review yesterday (we talk about how things are going) and they are very happy with me, so yay for me! Positive review = get!

Work is getting better and better anyway, I am now more and more actively involved with the Tokyo Games Show, helping to organise 2 business matchmaking sessions and things around it, getting my own part to do. I love it!

Anyway, after crashing friday night ( I was exhausted ) I was up bright and early this morning, did my washing and went off to Shinjuku! I had to go pay my rent ( have to go to the Sakura House office) after which I just wandered around the Shinjuku area, following the crowds, seeing where they took me. They took me to a headache. haha. It was so crowded, music blasting, megaphones all over the place with salespeoples shouting out how wonderful their products are and that I should definitely come in. Well, I did go into a few places just to look. I can't really afford the Gucci, Prada, Luis Vuitton etc that I saw around. Even the Zara looked mega posh! Anyway, I had a great time just taking in the busy Shinjuku atmosphere. Though after the third time some perv Japanese guy (salaryman-type) asked me if I was alone and whether I wanted to go for a drink, I decided it was time to get out of there.

I feel totally safe walking around by myself in Japan, but after that I was a tiny little bit freaked out. It's not like I was walking around in small dark alleys, just down a regular street (I thought). Though I did somehow walk through the 'adult' area, amazing what kind of places they had. Nobody bothered me there though (and lots of women were walking there, just regular people so I felt quite safe).

Anyway, I walked into the Seibu station area and got rid of my last desperate perv. I was lucky enough to walk into a building with a Uniqlo, Starbucks and 100 yen shop! So I had a look around the shops and then plonked myself down with a mattcha frap and my book and had a nice rest before braving the train back home.

There was some kind of festival thing going on in my neighbourhood...saw some kids carrying a god around earlier today, and then when I got back later there were grownups carrying a god around with the typical festival music all over the place... I went to the dvd rental place and got the next part of the drama I'm watching (and saw lots of drama dvd-boxsets on sale like Hana Yori Dango, Coffee Prince, Nodame ... tempting!) and a movie so I'll entertain myself tonight, away from the pervs.

Oh! Almost forgot to tell you guys, met more housemates, yay! Titiana (Denmark) and Tom (USA). Both are very nice! Titiana has been here a month and feels the same as I do about the no-socialising in this house. So we are going to socialise more! And Tom would like to as well, he's just never around... But still! I met people, yay!

Ok, off to make dinner now (rice cooker <3!)
