Weekend part 2

What follows after Shinjuku? Harajuku of course (depending on where you come from but anyway...). Went to Harajuku on sunday after Heleen recommended an ukiyo-e (old Japanese prints) museum which was in Omotesando (walking distance from Harajuku). So after checking to see if there were any more cosplayers and refusing a free hug I went to the museum, which was really interesting, thanks Heleen! They had a collection over from the Belgium Royal Museum or something...

Anyway! Wandered over to Meiji Jingu afterwards, passing some very unoriginal cosplayers and quirky tourists. Meiji Jingu is nice because despite there being a lot of people it has a serene feeling about it, walking through the forest, away from the big building, music, noise, shouting etc. There was even a Japanese style wedding on!

When I got home a German housemate of mine asked if I wanted to have hamburgers with him and his friends, lucky! So I hung out with Sebastian (German guy) his gf Ai and two friends Daiji and Ako. Sebastian is a photographer, Ai is an artist who works with porcelain, Daiji is a music producer and Ako is a singer - she was even worked with Dragon Ash! Gotta love Japan and all its artistic people <3 The hamburges were strange but awesome and we just hung out in the living room basically with another housemate and a friend of his joining us later on. I was socialising with mah housemates, yay! :D

Oh and by the way, I got a card to rent dvd's from Tsutaya, the DVD rental place, and I'm sure having a good go at it! I'm currently watchin the dorama "Sunadokei" (and reading the book at the same time), I saw Taiyou no Uta the movie the other day, and have now rented: GeGeGe no Kitaro; tada, kimi ga aishiteru; and samaa taimu mashin buruuzu (Summer Time Machine Blues). All in Japanese of course. Having a blast, keeping you updated!

And this I ran into on my way home:
