But first things first: I have a new phone, woo. Well, I borrowed ANOTHER phone from ANOTHER friend so that now I can send text messages to people (and receive them). Which wasn't possible with the other phone. Anyway, it was all a big hassle (my CC didn't work - I have no idea what's wrong with it...) but it's all settled now, woo! My biggest thanks for this goes to Ayumi - I owe you big time!
Having sat in the docomo shop for well over an hour it was time to get dinner: curry (indian style) in a cute little curry restaurant down the street from where I live. To celebrate my phone we also had some ice cream with the following flavours: rum, azuki and maccha. Weirdest combo but oh so yummy!
Anyway, rush home, rush to Shibuya to meet Ying Ying (figured out how to write her name!). Because: we were going to clubbing, woo! Her Japanese friend was late so we decided to wander around a bit - though on a mission (for Tanuki no less). In between we got a called from Maarten, he's the nephew of one of our colleagues, in Japan visiting. He was going to come too. We had just gotten directions to the club from some Japanese person because Ying's Japanese friend (who knew the way) wasn't coming anymore and so we tried to pass this on to Maarten over the phone. We had to get going because if we got in before 11pm we got free entrance (as girls ;) ).
So we headed off on our search for Camelot (CLUB Camelot that is) going in all sorst of directions but the right one (Japanese maps....). I might also want to mention it was POURING with rain, bucketing down. There was a typhoon up ahead and everyone was out - with their umbrella's. It was insane. Either way, semi-drenched and all we FOUND the place, got in no problem, were seated in the ' ladies only' section and waited on by quite a fine Japanese boy (shout out to Camelot waiter! hi!! *wave*).
In the mean time it was an hour since we had spoken to Maarten and it was getting near 12 o'clock (when the doors were supposed to close). We sat and stared at the VERY empty dance floor; just a few random Japanese people practicing their moves (the same ones -over and over again XD). Luckily Maarten and friend made it just in time to watch Ying and I decide to show those Japanese people how it's done on the dance floor. Man that felt good! Long week at work and then just let go to some very awesome music! It got even more awesome when DJ Ken-Ichiro started doing his stuff and before we knew it we were not only dance, but got talking to these random Japanese guys, Shin and Daisuke (and friend).
Shin is a ' recruiter' (god knows what for) and Daisuke is Executive Producer of the company ' enjoy '. Now if THAT doesn't weird you out :P Daisuke told me a funny joke too: how many Belgians does it take to change a light bulb XD hahaha my goodness never thought I'd hear a Japanese person tell me a ' belgen mop'.
Anyway they were lots of fun and really quite innocent so we hung out with them all night, managed to get them tall dutch boys to join us and partied the night away! No way were we leaving to catch our last train when things were just getting started - because they did! The place filled up, music got better and better and everyone just had an awesome time.
Made it back home by taxi, drenched by the typhoon style rain (taxi dropped me off at the station - 5 minute walk) and utterly exhausted XD
So if yesterday was TGIF, what does that make today? Laundry day! Because after rain comes sunshine - perfect conditions to wash and dry my stuff. I needed money though for the coin operated washing machine, and found this in the vending machine around the corner:
Yes it's Cinnamon Cappuccino. COLD Cinnamon Cappuccino. And it tastes.... not so bad!
